myAssets Household Inventory
Product Details
This is a user-friendly, simple and effective app for cataloging your assets. Mainly for insurance purposes, however it is a good idea to keep proper track of your assets in any event. Take up to 4 photos of each asset. Generate a report and email it to yourself with just a couple clicks.
Main Menu - Instruction Menu - Information
Simple menu with provided instructions. Enter as many “Locations” as you wish. There is no practical limit. Also add as many “Rooms” per locations. Again there are no practical limits.
Asset Data Entry
Data Entry Made Simple:
Data entry is minimal and simple. Assistance with date wheel for choosing dates, number keypad for entering price and a picker wheel for choosing the room.
- Asset Name / Description:
- Asset Model or Serial Number:
- Asset Notes
- Date of Purchase: DATE WHEEL to choose date
- Price Paid: Key Pad keyboard
- Room: Room Picker Wheel
Remember, you can take photos of serial numbers and model numbers too.
Asset Photographs
Add up to 4 photos for each asset. These photos will be printed on the report. Remember that photos can be taken of documentation such as receipts, serial numbers or packaging. If your iPhone is equipped with an LED and you are running iOS 6 or later, then this light can be turned on to assist in taking photos in darker places, such as behind your TV where the serial number is located. The preview screen also has zooming capabilities.
Asset Reports
A report can be generated at any time with one click. After the report is generated, it can be e-mailed to any valid address. It’s that simple. There is no practical limitation to the number of assets the app can accommodate; however, there are limitations in the size of attachment an e-mail can contain. As an example, g-mail has a max attachment size of 25 MB. A report of 25 MB would contain about 500 assets if each asset had 4 photos. Fewer photos would translate to more assets.
